I’ve just finished updating all the WordPress blogs I run to version 3.8.1, which was released earlier this week. I upgraded straight from the latest 3.7.x release, so I’m just getting used to the new dashboard layout, which I think is a big improvement on the previous one. In particular, the typography is much clearer and the whole interface feels more polished and professional.
Although 3.8.1 is only a maintenance release, and thus there are no security fixes, it should only take a few minutes to update most sites.
