A new release of WordPress has come out in the past fortnight, taking the blogging software up to version 3.9. I’ve finished upgrading my sites and haven’t noticed much of a difference (I don’t use the majority of the advanced features), but the changes include:
- Improved copying and pasting (e.g. from Microsoft Word)
- Drag and drop image uploading
- Audio and video playlists
There are some database changes included as part of this release, so you will need to confirm those as part of the update process.
You can find more details on the official WordPress blog, and check out the 3.9 milestone for a list of the tickets closed in this release.
